E. coli, Bedbugs and Appendicitis 2 weeks in the hospital - Written in 2016 I was kissing my husband goodbye when a nurse came into the hospital room “Your abscess tested positive for E. coli bacteria, and we are going to have to move you to a new room. Anyone that comes in your room must wear gloves and a gown.”
Oh dear Lord, and all this had happened seven years ago. What an ordeal to go through. Thank you for sharing this painful experience, it is so very important that people are aware how detrimental having someone advocating for your sick ones is. You have to be most vigilant. I had experiences with my son and both parents and count our blessings things didn't go awry but I will not go to hospital, now that I have nobody to be there for me, I rather "expire" at home.
You did an amazing job of getting him out of there alive.
This is an absolute horror story but also a testament of your love and dedication. It seems like you saved your husband's life.
Thank you for sharing this.
